Sorry for your bad start Stan but we in Northeast PA have had some great weather and it may be my best start yet. Last year we had rain, rain and more rain and coupled with cooler temperatures it was hard to get out of the gates. I am sure you will pick up the pace. Have a great season.

I'm with ya Stan! Ever had a fruit be your biggest at 10 days, and by day 15 be below average, and then by day 20 be worthy of culling? Maybe I should implement a no BS policy, that would just end the misery now, and I would maybe have 2 plants left haha

I'm with Gordon... GO UTES!
|
I'd rip them up except for the 1005 Mombert. That plant is awesome! I'm also a little behind last year, as we are a little cooler than average. Still hoping for several pollinations in the first week of July.
Regards, Cliff

You guys kill me last year was the most miserable year also....look what came out of the patches. I have learned a few things in the last week. Things to be thankful for Family,Love, friendship and worry about things only that are important and in your control. Other things must fix themselves. The plants will recover and nature will do her course. Then we will repeat this cycle again next year.

The only thing that is going in the "sandbag" are my mushy vines or the "hard as a rock" broken off ones! What a year!

Entirely different conditions here... same results. HOT sunny weather, vines that grow like sequoias; straight up, slow, and rigid as trees. I have one plant that's turning on the nitros: 829 Welty. Too bad, cuz its the only one I have at my home garden, and I just sold my home. It belongs to somebody else as soon as escrow closes. *sigh*
