My 1186.4 Whittier is in a new patch and all the male flowers shrival and die before opening..the plant has had two females open so far,one was pollinated with frozen pollen from my 877.8 Powers yesterday at about 14 ft or so..The 877.8 is doing fine in the main patch, but my plan was to pollenate it with the 1186.4..There will be a female ready in the next three days on the 877.8 and I was wondering if there was anyone with a 1186.4 whittier in thier patch in the Maine,New Hampshire,Massachusetts area that had males opening on a daily basis.next year I will be pollinating with the 582 Hester and pollen from that plant is a option if available also,I can do a self pollenation but would rather do the [email protected]

Hey John , drop me a email at [email protected] and let me know how the flowers made out.
BTW guys & gals to let you know the kindness of Mr. Powers, he picks up a few male flowers today from my 1458 Whittier and 1385 Daletas and drops off 4 tasty Maine lobsters. Thanks again very much. Good luck with your crosses. Al
