Anybody ever have the problem of the male flowers opening in the evening instead of the morning?
My 805 pukos and 1081 wentzell has its male flowers opening in the evening.

Yes, some of mine are opening in the late morning and afternoon. I believe the cold nights are playing havoc with our plants.

The same here. Some males open partially in the evening. That´s why I cut them and take them to the house before any insects get in.

So tie, sock, or bag them just like females. It is the only way to make a 100% pure cross besides placing them in the refrigerator.

I havnt had any trouble with my 1081 opening in the evening, 5:30 AM is when mine starts to dance, Jay, how is your 1081 doing?
