A few leaves burnt on AG? It has been hot, but plants have been watered when droopy. Should I mist more often when it is hot? I have not put any ferts in a few weeks, I can R/O that one. Help?

I'm in san diego, burnt leaves happen. No matter how careful I try to be, there always seems to be a burn here or there. Misting is the best way to prevent it!!!! Mist more than you have been doing, give the plant what it wants to be happy. How long? depends on your misters, how much water they put out. I have 3 micro sprinklers, 8 to 10 gallons per hour each, so they put out very little water. On a 90 degree day, I mist 7 minutes on, 8 minutes off. Last year I had 3 bigger micro sprinklers that put out 20 gallons per hour and I was at 4 or 5 minutes on, 10 or 11 minutes off. A little burn won't hurt you, you'll be fine. Best wishes, Jimmy

Here in Phoenix, it is inevitable even with shade cloth and misting. I assume it is new growth that is burning. Shade these new leaves for a few days until they mature a bit.

Currently watching my plant today and within hours of early morning full sun, my newest growth is burning. Back on goes the shade cloth.

Follow what Duster (Jim) says above. We have the same exact setup for misting..he gives good advise. I don't not have a single burnt leaf on either of my plants that are misted.
