FYI - I sprayed a cocktail of 1 teas. of Merit, 1 tbls. of sevin, 1 tbls. of Miracle grow and 3 tbls. of Epsom salts all in one gallon of water. Sprayed midday on a cloudy day as cukes were seen. Two days later the leaves had lost color (blotchy) and the ends started to curl. I repeatively rinsed with the hose but the damage was done. The foliage that receives the most sun are in the worst shape, many leaves are now toast.

I gave up using Sevin altogether. Too much risk using the stuff and lots of safer options out there in chemical-land. What's the 1 good absolute convincing reason for using it over something as effective, or better, that's less riskier?

I forgot to include a thimble full of Joy liquid soap in my cocktail.

Mr. Bumpy, I just assumed I'd have to order it, and have it shipped. I don't know what my 5 gal. jug of it cost for shipping yet. I'll know when I get my credit card bill . Next year, I'll have to find some MN sources that sell it, to save on shipping costs.

Thanks Phil! I'm 16 miles from a large Mills Fleet Farm. If they don't have it in stock, they should be able to order it. MFF is one of my favorite stores. The one up here has a real nice selection of fishing equipment.
