sometimes, and God bless Mother Nature for providing them, a pumpkin/female flower will automatically be sticking straight out from the vine at a perfectly perpendicular
90 degrees from the vine. jeez, i haven't seen one myself yet this year (but VERY soon) but as i recall, the stem usually sticks up in the air, until the weight of the fruit brings it down, but if it were bent directly
downward without twisting it, it would be at a right angle to the vine, like a driveway off of a main road, or at least MOST of them, lol....
any other angle adds complexity to the growth and stem stress and so on of that particular fruit. i would say
pollinate it, give it all of your TLC,
and if it ends up being your fastest-growing
fruit or you don't get any others with a truly decent angle to the vine, well, you can always:
cut-away the leaf that is causing you grief...
if neces-sary, and things get hair-y......lol,
sorry just started sounding like a rap tune or something....
or not.....lol----in any event, good luck---eric
