I received this question via e-mail from a grower in New Zealand. Perhaps someone has an answer?

Have grown pumpkin and wish to know if there is a way to dry it out or preserve it?

Hi Ken, we talked on e-mail, I think I could answer that!
I would say "Yes" Why? we had a pumpkin at my school, it was a science experement and the studys show that a pumpkin can be preserved if you keep it in a cold dark place.
