Had frost this mourning. Woke up at 4am and seen the temp was 34 at the house. Dashed down to the patch--leaves were frozes solid. Threw the hot houses back on and covered them with blankets. Called home at noon expecting black dead plants but the wife thought they looked pretty good. So hopefully the leaves didn't die.

We, too had frost a couple of weeks ago. I still had the huts up and the temp inside was 32 F. I rushed in the house, before the sun hit the huts, and got cold water in a pail. I doused them all with the water and all was ok. I have since been told to use cold water right out of the well....and spray the chilled leaves with that. Apparently this must be done before the sun hits the plants. That will help with the frost problem. But..it has been so blasted cold that my vine length ranges from 18 inches to 44 inches on my plants. I am very disgusted. Apparently all are stunted!

My 537 Hildebrant go hit by frost a few days ago. It suffered some damage, and will have a tough climb to get going again.
