I am a 12 year old kid who obviously doesn't have a steady income but over the winter will need money for the next seasons fertilizers and soil additives. Does anyone know of a good pumpkin related fund-raiser project to help out with my expenses?

only thing I could say is Win a weigh-off, or rob a bank. just kidding don't.

Many weigh-offs 1'st place can pay for all of next years pumpkin bills.

Jake,

I had a similar question for everyone during the winter. Here is the link...

I was given the link to somebody's rental advertisement page at one point, I think it was from somebody in Indiana, but the link isn't in my bookmarks. It might be on my other computer. If I find it I'll post it.

To rent your pumpkins out you only need to make a pamphlet on the computer, and make up a small contract agreement for the renter to sign. Take your pamphlet and a couple of pictures to nearby hotels, grocery stores, and car dealerships, and throw your sales pitch at the managers (insist on speaking with the manager). Since you are 12, you may have an advantage here, it may be very interesting to the manager when a twelve year old salesman knocks on his door to sell giant pumpkins. It could be the highlight of his/her day. Eventually, one of them will think that renting your pumpkin during the last three weeks in October is a good idea. Make sure your agreed upon rental period begins the Monday or Tuesday after the weigh-off! When the agreed rental period is over, you collect your pumpkin and take out the seeds!

This is the low cost method of $$$ recovery. Takes some time and effort, but it should also bring back some of the cost. Good luck!
