Do we know what causes small seeds to form behind the stigma? Doug

There´s an article here on BP.com: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=63 Not much more I can say about it, but if you discover it for yourself I would cut that female. A fruit from a female with seeds in the blossom is likely to deform/split later in the season.

My 1121 had seeds in the blossom. I would of culled it but it was the only one to take on my 1016. I had alot split on me last year but that one stayed whole. Who knows?

Same here bears, and it grew big but had a large cavity on one side with a stem split, but didn't go through the pumpkin.
