I'm a first year grower... how do you bury a vine?... just throw earth on it? and do you prune it first? thanks..

No pruning is really required. Many growers trim off the tendrils at this time. Lay the vine down and place some soil over top of it along its length. Be sure to carefully remove any soil from the leaf surface. You can safely apply soil within 1 foot of thr growing tip. The plant will do the rest, rooting at each leaf node. Jos, you can help it along by giving the fresh soil a drench of 10-52-10.

if it is a 2ndary vine then you want to prune/pinch off the tertiary vines/growth before burying it.

exactly...pinch those small tertiary buds now, so they don't become a major pain later.

I bury the tendrils also. They´ll grab for something in the soil and then help to stabilize the plant.

I don't prune tendrills either. They are quite funny :)

when i bury the vine it seems like my flowers dont grow as fast, i dont completly cover it up ether i leave the whole flower showing down to the vine

Some growers even remove all females on secondaries. I think it´s a risky game, if you loose your main or a fruit on it there´s probably nothing left to go with.
But an AG season in general is quite similar doing a trip to Las Vegas :)
