Subject: time for a pumpkin

I live in S. AZ and can't even start the garden pumpkins until later than most (105 is alittle too hot). How long does it usually take for a pumpkin to mature to a size for a jack-o-lanturn? ie. pollination on 9-15, cut a pumpkin on ?????. Not looking for the 'great pumpkin' just a nice sized one. Thanks

It usually takes between 90 to 100 days depending on the variety from time of germination.

Kye, Here in the Ca. Central Valley we get hot weather but not like Phoenix and Scottsdale. You might try misting and and sun shades. Give it a chance next year.
