I had to cut my 5ft long main vine due to a split. What is left of the plant is two undeveloped side shoots (6" long) and about 20 leeves. What is the fate of this plant? Will she have a punkin? She was was my best plant too, I am very sad. She could not recover from a bad split, so to save her I had to cut that main, darn!

she'll recover and likely give you a good pumpkin maybe not as good as one it could have though.

I too have a bad split at about 5' Should I lop it off at split? Should I go with back vine or let a side vine become the main?
