I've got vols. II and III. I'm wondering if there is anything important in vol. I, that isn't discussed in vols. II and III? I'm particularily thinking of vine training, pruning, and burying(anything else?).
Thanks, Doug

There is alot of information revising the past recomendations of fertilization, a whole chapter on the increased importance of Calcium which is elevated to a major nutrient status and reduced plant sizes and the benifits therform. Hope that helps

ghopson, Thanks for your response. I guess I'm mainly wondering if there is basic growing info. in vol.1, that isn't in the other volumes. Like it is assumed you have vol. 1. As a new grower, I'm just wondering if I should get vol.1 , or do vols. 2 and 3 have all the basic growing and plant care strategies. I'm mainly thinking of info. on pruning and burying of the vines.

Doug, I think you don't need volume one at all. Volume two along with a bit of help from people here at bp should be plenty of information for anyone.
I'm personally filled up to the brim with information but applying it to the patch is where I always screw up. Michel
