My season is over. I don't have time to get a new series of plants growing. The seedlings expired a couple of days ago after a long battle to get them healthy again. Funeral services will be arrainged in the next few days and memorial donations will be acepted via paypal ;P
it sucks that all of this happened, but hey it happens. unfortunately it just won't be happening again this year

i send my sympathies. i will not be able to attend the funeral, so give the family my best through this heartfelt time in your lives.

Our deepest sympathy. The mourning masses would like a peek at the autopsy report to avoid similar fates. Please also include time & location of internment once arrangements have been finalized.

If you feel like taking a road trip I can restart your season for you. I have a few back ups I will not need. They are around 15 days old, very healthy and ready for transplant. They will be recycled soon in the compost bin if not used. There yours if you want them.

A 20 hour round trip drive for whole summer full of giant pumpkin growing enjoyment. Its worth it!!! Dean o

Shipping plants...why not...just transplanted a pollinator plant (mid April starter) from a 3 gal bucket with a main vine about 5 feet long, no problems so far. Will post the "planting act" in my diary. Fix it not to brake, but then you need to find a carrier for a 5 feet long package weighing 30 pounds...but I´m sure some express company could do that for you.

Properly packaged plants can be shipped UPS Next Day Air. There's even a nursery selling live Atlantic Giants on eBay.

Sorry Keith. The last start landed at my son's school. But check out this auction from Hirt's Nursery.

It's not a great cross, and right now it's probably squeezed in it's peat pot, but it's alive, healthy and kicking. If you want it, send a note and I'll do what I can to get it shipped.

Dincubus -
start some new seeds. I say go for it. I know it's very late but who cares. pick some that you'd otherwise wouldn't plant, some of you own might be just the ticket. Who knows what you'll end up with, maybe nothing ... but maybe something ... but if you don't plant anything then we know you'll end up with nothing. what have you got to lose?
best wishes.
