It is with much regret after most of a lifetime we are no longer sending seeds to our America customers and friends as of now. Due to immediate notification from Canada Post "As of August 29,2025, duties (tariffs) must be paid before sending items to the United States. A declaration ID is required indicating duties have been prepaid." We tried sending 2 orders today and were refused even though it is August 28?

Until we learn more such as duty(tariff) rate, etc. and everything else involved we can not ship. Not sure if it's 10, 25, 35% ? Not sure what else I can say at this time. Sorry. Very sad and unfortunate it has to come to this. Thank you all for the tremendous support and friendships over the many, many years.

One of the orders had a value of only $14 and still no go, so obviously no under $100 exemption or what have you. Good old days are over I am afraid, unless things change hopefully? And this applies to ALL countries!

Confirmed 35% for Canada. So that $14 order as of now just turned into $18.90 for the US customer. Not sure what clubs outside of the USA are going to do with their auctions this winter? Just not send or buyers pay the going rate per country? Best of luck everyone!

This sucks. Very sorry to hear this news Danny. Like many growers, my first seeds came from your family farm. It was the only thing I did right in my first season.

Maybe the Christmas card method will work. Who knows. Or you find a courier and shipping partner in the US to assist?
