I need some advice about what my plant is doing. Maybe I'm just too new at this or impatient. Anyways, I have a picture posted in my diary about my 658 Emmons. It looks to me like the main vine has started going in the right direction for a few inches (to the right), but then it makes a u-turn and goes up and to the left (it has a lot of new growth on the end). I've got a few smaller vines emerging from the stump that are going in the right direction (about 4 inches) Is the big fat one that has done a u-turn my main vine, and if so, is there anyway I can train it to go to the right? I have only 4 feet of space before it hits the sidewalk. I could always train it to do a circle and go back to the right on the ground, but that is a last resort.
Thanks
Alan

Looks like it is going the way you want it to. A few more days and you will know for sure. Love the farm patch!!

Thanks for the advice. I have been giving it a nudge with the bamboo stakes the past few days and I think in 4-5 days it will be going the way I want it to go.
Hey Glenn, I love the farm patch as well. I've never had this much space and I'm in heaven. The best part is my friend who gave me the land got kicked by a cow (well, that's not really the good part) and I am helping him do all of his gardening for the next month, so my wife lets me go and work there are much as I want now. The only bad part is we can get some wicked frosts up until late May and with work I could only protect my one plant at home. Oh well, they'll probably catch up in a few weeks.
