having to start over because of a gopher, I am growing the 845 nesbitt now. I know a few people here have grown it, can someone with experience growing this plant tell mw what to expect with the plant? Fast starting plant, slow, average? Heat tolerance? etc. Thank you. Hopefully I'll get a nice big orange pumpkin since that is what it throws most of the times. Jimmy

I grew a 392 off it with almost no care. Was 100% in the grass and only maybe 200 sq ft.Beautiful round orange pumpkin. Very heat tolerant in my opinion and I think it would be agressive.... its offspring are. Can see pics of mine in my 02' diary. Good luck, I think you will be happy with it. Mike Frantz

We grew the 845 last year. Until I overdosed the poor thing with Giberellins, it was an absolute pleasure to work with. It was the most vigorous start we had out of 5 plants grown. It seemed to deal better with Powdery Mildew than the others too. Though we do use fungicides, the cots & original 3 leaves were still healthy & productive in September when a tenured grower told me to remove them for air circulation LOL. Other plants with similar genetics & identical spray schedules had at least some PM at this point.
