Have my first ever Double Vine. A 1370 Rose. Can't replace at this point and so I'd appreciate all the suggestions possible. thanks. Greg

It sure would be helpful if you could get a picture up in a diary. Words are not enough in tough call questions.

If it is a double, the best thing may be nothing. A local double was going flat. Then it split on it's own. The lesser of the two was nipped off & the next node produced a regular vine.
Knowing this, I'd wait a week or so before taking action.

Last year I had a double vine growing in different directions. It was on the 1074 Calai. The 1074 Was a slow growing plant and also slow growing pumpkins on it. I got two beautiful nice dark orange pumpkins off of the two vines. But George Lloyd also grew the 1074 and had nothing of great size on just one vine.

I had a double last year,cut off the smaller of the two. It started to double at 8ft out 13ft it set a pumpkin,ended up a 566lbs.

Joe, Looks like one of those is a leaf stem, not the main.
