I see a lot of growers (including myself) using supplemental grow lights in their starter hoophouses. My question is, how long do you run those lights, what time do you turn them on and off? I’m running mine from 6am to 9pm.
Thanks/Glenn

I would start mine earlier in the morning to coincide with first light ( 1/2 hour before daylight) or maybe a little sooner to help warm huts. Days are still getting longer so your time will continue to change. You can set them according to hoop removal day.

I would try to have them on for 18 hours to drive vegetative growth

I go 8:30-10, then 5am to 8am. I keep my light low and in front of the plant, in my mind it helps draw the plant down and in the correct direction. I also get some warmth from it. I'll run mine about 7 more days.

I did mine from 5am to 9am and then come on again at 5pm until 9pm. My plants out grew the lights so I'm thinking it helped. I took the light out last weekend.
I did the big one 3' by 6' and I think it has 6 to 8 bulbs.
