My vines are just now starting to lay down and grow. How far out is the best place for a pumpkin to grow? When I decide on the pumpkin that I want to keep, and it sets. Do I change over to a high "P" and get away from "N"? Help you great pumpkin growers.

I believe Steve Daletas' world record was set at 20+ feet on the main. Was the distance partly responsible for the amazing growth?? Being a rookie, I wouldn't know.....but I am curious to hear some other opinions on this.
