Greetings!!! I'm going to plant two plants in the patch this year, back to back in a Christmas tree pattern. How far apart should I place them? Is five feet enough?
Thankyou!!!

I planted mine 5 feet apart this year. Some people go 6 or more feet. 4 would probably be the minimum.

I'm growing a 4-some in a small area. Two are about 2 feet apart (if that!), the others are about 4 feet away. Each plant is headed to a corner of my rectangular patch and in a flag pattern...idea from Joe Ailts.
I guess I'll find out how that spacing plan works out.

WOWness! 3 feet apart and 1000 pounds..I'm sold! My 'ground zero' pit is oblong to incorporate the two plants. I'm going to plant 4 and then cull. I have 9 seedlings to chose from..which ones? two 1230 Deletas, two 1167 Handy two 940 Momberts, two 853 Pukos and one 801.5 Stelts...HELP!

When I planted my 2 plants outdoors on May 9th I had intentions of growing the 2 plants for 1 month and the weaker one would be pulled to give the other one more room.
both of my plants aer growing really well and at about the same speed so i have decided to keep both but will probably only set fruit on one of the plants or both at the same time if possible then cull from there. my plants are roughly 3.5 feet apart right now. and by the looks of things the front plant will be growing out towards the house from the patch and plant 2 will be growing towards the back of my yard so ya hopefully if it works out that way there should be more then enough room for the 2 plants

But seriously, folks, does anyone have any input or preference as to which of the above mentioned seedlings that I should plant? I Wish I could have them all...just not enough space!
