I started 2 seeds at the end of April, and nothing came up. I planted 2 more a week later, and one of them began to sprout, but seemed to rot once it peeked above the soil. Thge other didn't do anything. My germination rate with my other seeds was pretty good.

Has anyone else had problems with this seed?

My 1301 has been my fastest growing plant (and probably the fastest starter that I have ever had). Having said that though, I have never grown my biggest pumpkin from the plant that started out the fastest.

Got one 1301 in the patch, and 1 as a back-up...both looking pretty good right now! Only at first true leaf stage now...stay tuned!

mine is doing great with a 2' main. nice looking
plant that is vining straight out nicely instead of
wanting to reach up. it sprouted on 5-1 and i have yet
to have any problems with it, knock on wood.

Nope, not too much water. My germination percentage with my other seeds was almost 100%.
