I'll tell how I do it , some might have different ideas. Wash them off good & get all the "meat" off of them. Then I'll spread them out on a large flat towel in the basement or somewhere where it is dry. Make sure the seeds don't touch each other. Then once a day move the seeds around on the towel so they won't stick always making sure they stay apart. After 3-4 weeks they will be dry enough to store..Paul

Ken and I use a large screen (like the ones for a house window). This allows them to dry on the bottom as well as the top.
When you wash them off, use a mild solution of bleach water to prevent mold and mildew from taking hold while you are drying them. About a tablespoon per gallon will be plenty.

I have a screen I use for fossil collecting, I put some on there and some on cookie sheets and they dried ok. Tom

Curing the seeds is definatly the key to storage, my question is how long will my Clone seeds last inside the pumpkin after it was cut from the plant? The pumpkin is sound and was harvested Sept 6th. The average daytime high has been 79 degrees. I have been trying to hold off opening it up so I can carve it for Holloween, but I really want to grow out a few seeds next spring. P.S First place @ Spokane County Fair 519.5#.. Thanks Gadberry
