Noticed first female today at around 10-11 feet on the main vine. My question is how long before it opens if my memory is right it takes 14 days to open does that sound right.

I think it's a little shorter time period than 2 weeks before it opens? I'll check in my diary, but I guess it depends on how observant you are and when you notice the little thing at the end of the vine.

Well somebody has to ask.....

How is it that you have an 11+' vine in the third week of May? Greenhouse? When did you start it?

The seed germinated apirl 1 was in the ground apirl 5th first built a 5x5 hot bed then went with a 18 inch raised bed above grade then burried a 48 foot heater cable in the bed..at fist the plant was protected by to windows set on top of 4x4 's dirt was piled around the 4x4'as the plant grew higher I put another 4x4 on top then when the plant got to big a 8 foot cold frame over the top As of the last week end she has nothin over her.
