I have a couple of plants that some of the leaves are turning yellow around the edges. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Nothing has been sprayed in my patch since the plant were put in. The only thing that has been sprayed before was some Merit 75 WP.

How hot has it been? Wet leaves (rain, irrigation, misting, etc) followed by extreme heat is one idea. Nutrient deficincies *rarely* crop up this early but can. Wind beating leaves together can cause this.

We need more information than we're getting here. Can you get some pictures up?

They most likely got a little scorched from the unseasonable heat here in the east this spring.
If the non-yellowed part is a little wrinkled, this is what happened.

I posted a pic of one of my plants. I hope you can tell. The picture quality isn't all that good. We have had temps in the upper 70's - low 80's. A little over 1/2 inch of rain in the last few days.

Sambo, I have the same problem with some of the leaves on my 804 Carlson. I have already had some high temps here around 105°F a few weeks ago and noticed the leaves yellowing just around the borders of the leaves shortly there after. I also have misters cooling the plant. So my guess is that between the heat and misters, one or both of those might be the culprit. I wouldn't worry to much, the plant should be fine.
Although one thought has entered my mind. I know my salt content is high(6.5 ECe but dropping as I leach it)and was wondering if that might be the reason. If yours isn't high then I can rule that out. My plant is growing great so I really doubt salt is the issue.
By the way, thank you again for sending me your 950.4 Boyton seeds. I have one growing right now and it looks very healthy with a nice thick 5 foot long vine at present. The 950 does not have the yellowing borders but is perfectly green. No misters on this plant so far. It was 107° one day and it didnt wilt a bit....tough plant.
Best wishes to you Sambo. Vince
