Does anybody know if there is a company making giant pumpkin measuring tapes yet?

You can buy several tailor's tapes, carefully splice them together and relabel the ten inch marks . Another thing I do for the patch is take a long length of duct tape folded on itself lengthwise and mark off 2.5 inch sections. This is good enough to keep track of growth where the exact measurement isn't needed.

If you are still looking for accuracy, consider a surveyor's tape. They are way too long (100 feet) so you could pull out what you need and cut it from the reel or just leave it on the reel. Get a fiberglass one, not metal.

I have used this for years. You can use all OTT measurements at one time. No adding. Also good for laying out your patch.

I have sourced them and they wanted $14 a piece with a Minimum Order Qty of 1000. I can get the 288" for $6 at Hobby Lobby
