I'm thinking of planting my only AG plant that's ready, this Friday. The forecast is for nighttime lows of around 35F on Fri. and Sat. night. Will this cold weather set the plant back? I can protect against frost, so frost damage isn't a worry.

It will slow down growth. If you can, when you protect against frost, try to add a little heat. Some people fill plastic milk bottles with water and surround the plant. During the day the water warms up and at night the heat is released warming the plant. There are a lot of ways to do it. Good luck.

depends on how big the plant currently is and how big of a pot it is in. A bigger plant in a smaller pot is going to be worse than putting it out side in cooler temps. I've got all 4 of mine in the ground as of May 11th but I've got a nice little hoop house built for each pair can small ceramic heaters for nighttime heat. I live up north In Minnesota.

Thanks for the tips! The plant is in a 6" round pot. It has a developed true leaf, and a small second leaf forming. I may use the plastic jug and water suggestion, along with a styrooam cooler cover.
