i planted 7 plants outside, and 5 are growing great, and are healthy, i planted them all at the same time, besides the 775 i grew on april 20th, the one I plant shrivel up and died on me 2 days after i planted it, so i planted a back up in the same spot and it died the same way, they both just shriveled up and died, , i cant figure out why, i planted all my plants the same way, do u think there must be something in the soil in this spot that made theses two plants die?, almost looks like someone poured gas on them or something, and the 775 i planted on the 20thof april is growing real slow and is small,( but real healthy), all my other plants has passed it up by a long shot, why is that?

Some possibilities that come to mind:
Animal urine. Previous fertilizer, other salts, or gasoline spill. Phyophthora fungus in the soil. Bad luck.
I would refrain from planting anything else there until removing some soil to a pot. In the pot place a bean seed, water cover & watch. If the bean does well, we can rule out chemicals & salts in the soil. If an animal is urinating on the plant itself, only an eyewitness or a costly lab analysis will prove it.

I think it may be the heat wave we're experiencing, 84 degrees here today, some transplants are just having a hard time coping!
