I live in connecticut and was wondering when i should start my seed and when i should palnt it in the ground...can anyone help me?

See my diary. I planted out on May 2nd which is rather early for me. Others are just starting seeds these past few days. You're in the window now. Go for it.

Yup my first batch of seeds were germinated 2nd weekend
of April they never took do to overheating of the seeds and too much water second batch was started April 17th
and were up and out of the ground 4 days later with proper
heat and light. These plants which just got there first true leafs were planted out doors on Sat May 8th here in Ontario canada.

I will be putting one in the ground tonight with protection if it gets cold. The temps around here are supposed to be 70 to 80 for at least a week though.

For competition size, they should be started and planted as quickly as possible at this point....my opinion.
