A lot of top growers are using this with some pretty good results, thinking about trying this , but not sure ..any thoughts

I've used it for 3 years........I may do it on just one this next year. Personally I think if you don't take extra care when putting it on florel can cause inconsistencies in the fruit which causes splits. Jut my thought could be wrong could be right but I don't think it helps much. Soil and proper watering and nutrients is what is the most important in my opinion.

I used it this year. I messed up 4 of 7 plants (probably from the Florel) but I set a personal best & won 2 contests with 2 of them. The ones I lost all aborted between day 24-30 and all had weird blossom end cracks unlike any I had ever seen before.

That's what I saw too that is why you have to be so careful otherwise aborts are in your future. I also think temperature plays a part when you put it on....tons of factors makes me very nervous to use it again

We have never used it and increased our PB by 30% this year. Point being so far there's mixed reviews and probably need a good controlled experiment (same seed, conditions, etc.) to have a better feel for how much it may help or not. Like Dale interested in this if it's helpful, Definitely interested in hearing more observations from those that have used it for a few years, especially if they had a mix of plants they used it on and others they didn't for the differences they saw between treated and untreated.

I have used it for 4 years now,most of my pumpkins are heavy to the chart now where as they were mostly light to the chart before that. A little goes a long way, over doing it causes aborts.

I made the mistake of putting it on the blossoms instead of the skin of the fruit. Lost three out of four main vine pollinations. The one that made it was a new personal best.

Tried it once,but then my plants got sick soon after I applied the florel. (I think they got YVD) It most likely wasn't related at all to the florel but to me the events happened so close to eachother it left me with a bad taste in my mouth and afraid to try it again even if there was no connection.
A little goes a long way! One bottle of florel probably contains enough hormone to treat every giant pumpkin in the world for that year!!! I still have my nearly full bottle from the year I used it. Not sure what to do with it. Any suggestions?

If a commercial grower of field pupmkins could treat 100 pumpkins with floral and 100 pumpkins without the results would be interesting but I don’t know any commercial growers and it would be a lot of work we have used it for the last two seasons go big or go home as they say.

That would be an interesting try. I could do 10 to 20 fruit a day for maybe 5 days in a row and that way the environmental factor will play into it a little. I pretty much live in my fields that time of year anyway.

Apply 48 hours after pollination. It needs to be mixed at 100 ppm. Spray it on the baby fruit with a mister bottle. Don’t spray it inside the blossom.

As well as spraying you can use a small artist type paint brush. I prefer this method as it puts the product right where you need it with no risk of over spray on the plant or blossom end.

Like Andy said above and he's never used it,,,,, it's a risk. Like Stewie said, we need a commercial field pumpkin grower to treat 100 fruit and see the difference come picking time.

For me, the most important thing about Florel is to keep the pumpkin covered for several hours, so that the skin absorbs the product well. If it is uncovered, the sun and the wind make it dry quickly

Florel worked for us -- biggest thing is proper dosage as others have pointed out and then covering it from the elements to ensure it's allowed time to set in.

The strongest indicator I've learned from seeing other successfully use this and Anthesis is the prolonged cell division phase and prolonged growth cycle exceeding 90+ days.
