At Failure....7 hours ...only 7, we were out doing some "flower" garden work, and heard a "strange" noise, I thought it was TANK, my dog, dragging his chain(he's tied BY THE PATCH!), Laura said No, I think there is something IN YOUR HOOP HOUSE!!!!(the horror)!! And there was..., nicely vented sat my 747.2 Hunt, all warm and snuggly...with a ROBIN flying around inside!!

Judging by the capitalized ATTEMPT in the title, I'm assuming it's ok. :)

We are getting nature's first attempt as I type...winds that they are saying up to 70 MPH, rain, possible hail...severe thunderstorm watches all around us. The plants so far seem to be safe in the anchored down hoophouse, not even touched by the wind.

Hang on Brigitte, there is more headed your way!!, we had to pick up our tools and make last minute pumpkin/hoophouse inspection, it is a lil wierd when the trucks drive by with the Radar tower on it(storm watcher) And Yes Tremor, the plant wasn't Harmed! Wheew, Now if we don't get the golf ball sized Hail....

Burrhead, did you get my last email? had some crazy crap going on with my email here! The 747.2 popped it's first leaf, then the second, bout the size of a grape leaf! Last night had some real stormin goin on, every bolt of lightning I could see the hoops and they did GREAT! We needed the rain badly though, so it's all good!!

Yup. Right now Hail and Heavy winds is my scare. tonight they are calling for Heavy Rain so i covered the greenhouse with an 4x8 sheet of ply wood in chance we do get hail from the sudden heat to cold change over the past couple of hours the plywood should help a bit.
praying for NO hail storm weve already had 2 good ones this spring so far and dont need another one.
