Ok ive been wondering about this for awhile now.
Ok ( example )
I am growing an
1178 L. Wentzell female 735 Pukos Male 900 L. Wentzell
Ok say i grow a nice Pumpking and the seeds that come from the pumpking ( for trade ) are they still 1178 L. Wentzells? or does the "Growers" name change?
i see allot of people on here that have there own names with there seeds which they have grown and i was wondering how this all works out in the end when seeds go from point A to B and get grown by many different growers.
thanks
Dave

The pumpkin you grow will be named with three parts: the weight your last name the year
Example...if you plant your 1178 Wentzell seed this year and you grow a 400 pound pumpkin, and your last name is Martin .......... the name of the seeds from this pumpkin would be 400 Martin '04 the female would be 1178 Wentzell the male would be whatever plant you got the pollen from that pollinated the female flower that grew into your 400 pounder. hope this helps.
