I'm wondering what 3 Diaries are your favorites and why.

Soil/Site Prep,
Fertilization Program,
and Generally Helpful diaries are what I'm seeking.

A few weeks ago someone suggested that we develop some kind of an award system for the best diary. I think that the best diary by far last year was Dwaine Gipe's (docgipe). It is a step-by-step online primer on how to grow big pumpkins. It has great pictures, great info, lots of how-to-do-it stuff, decent humor, and is written in proper English. No other diary is even close. Because of this I think that we should name a bigpumpkin diary award a "GIPEY"...(pronounced "guy-pee")...kind of like ESPN's ESPY, or an EMMY.

Of course this year Clinton Rose is an early front runner...based on the high entertainment value of his diary and the drama he is setting up in the showdown between his little brother and himself. My money is on the "littlerose" all the way...and I'm glad that he got his seed from that trade that he thought had gone bad. I look forward to seeing more pics of Clinton, his manure makers, and his little brother (who is destined to lose the showdown in October). And whoever is helping Clinton edit his diary, please stop...it is much more entertaining when he writes it himself.

lol vineman !! see, that is why our 'favorites' are definitely not the 'most helpful'. there are just some people that when you see they post, you have to see what it is this time that's going to make you laugh.

when I read soil prep, i thought of docgipe. he's also got a lot of pictures to help make the openable upside down ice cream containers to plant in.
