I will have an 869 Calai female open in a few days along with some males on my 746 Scherber clone. I wasn't able to use the 746 to pollinate and it never produced females because it was to hot. It only produced flowers until late June then the main died leaving a 6" secondary. My question is: What do you think of an 869 Calai 746 Scherber cross? It will lose some of it's nice shape and color but will grow really fast and might be a good cross for next year. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, Tom

It's a little late to get a pumpkin with viable seeds. It takes 50 days to get mature seed.
Oh well, what's to lose, good luck.
