A new reading on my Ph meter(which did agree with soil test) showed a drop from 7.8 to 7 Is this due to the ongoing addition of compost? So ,Tremor, Doc, somebody! I'm still in there at 7...right? is there a "quick" way to spruce it up?

Stay at 7. You don't want to go higher than that if you can avoid it, too alkaline.

Steve Daletas grew his world record at 7.2 PH Tony Ciliberto has coached me to shoot for 6.8 to 7.2. Assume some loss over the growing season.

Quick fixes are rarely fixes. Besides, pH meters & pens are not accurate enough to make major decisions based on their readings.
Grow on. But submit a sample now to a competent lab. Post the results when they come in & we'll see if anything needs to be done then.
No matter the results, we know you're in the zone & should have a great year regardless.
