I lost a few roots repotting my plants into bigger pots,will this be a major problem down the road or not?

Sounds like you fell into the staerting to soon trap, I would start new ones now.

I tend to think that losing a few roots this early in the game will have significant effects on the future of the plant. Losing a couple roots when the plant is that small is a big deal, and stresses the plant pretty bad. I'd have to suggest starting over as well.
