I went out to the patch today to find one of the two pumpkins on my plant split wide open and rotting on the blossom end. It stopped growing three weeks ago with the record heat but appeared sound and measured 100inches around. Anyone experience this?

Yep! I found mine today as well. It wasn't blossom end rot but a deep rib on the underneath surface. It was a potential new state record but now its on its way to the compost pile.
