Hey it's snowing here in northern Utah! there is about an inch and a half of snow covering my patch right now and it's still coming down. I could imagine this at the end of march or first week in april but april 28th ?

Gordon, We've got the same here in Idaho. This normal until the 10th of June. I was going to put the pumpkins in the hoop houses yesterday. I'm glad I didn't.

Couple inches here too. Maybe wouldn't have been as big of a suprise if it hadn't been 80 degrees on Monday.
To get two inches of snow on the ground takes a lot of snow following 80 degrees (hard all day).

That cold Canadian pattern went through here like General Grant and his drunken donkey took Richmond. It was nice 28th.and I read it safe to go....so 2004 is off and running.
I read zone 5 safe to go, zone 4 maybe wait some more, zone 3 better not be...yet anyway. No one should take down the cold frames in 3,4,5 just yet. :)

Nice, 89*f for a HIGH yesterday and it dropped to 29*f by midnight for a low. Chance of snow tonight also :( . I just started soaking my seeds today, suppose to be in the 60's for highs and 40's for lows all next week and my 100w light bulbs keep my hoop houses above freezing to about the 20*f mark.
