hi everyone, was wondering if anyone pollinates the pumpkins on the secondary vines as well as the main and primary vines? thank you gp

Pollinate everything...some plants,for whatever reason ,wont set fruit on the main...and if you had no side vine pollinations you'd be out of luck with no time left. Side viners can be fun...they are easier.....just pollinate one or two near the end of the allotted vine space and cut the vine past the pumpkin so theres nothing but a pumpkin on the end. No stem stress...not a bother with angle to the vine,etc,,,easy as pie. if the main one takes off you can always remove the side viner or keep it as a surge protector or shock absorber......Glenn A
