Im to late for my fair it was the beginning of august. hows your big max pumpkins doing. I think my pumpkin is done growing.

I haven't been doing much in the patch over the last week. I measured on Sat, the one that I thought had stopped grew 5 inches, and the other one that had a lot of growth the week before only grew an inch. We have had rain everyday since Friday. I hope that helps them to grow some more.

First Time Pumpkin Grower,

How large is your Big Max, mine are the size of basketballs and i just hope that they will grow a little more to like beachball size!

My big max vine died in the heat it had one that wieghed 9 pounds 9.2 est. a week before, it was on the vine for 2 weeks not growing, it probably wieghed closer to 20. Good luck with yours,

My largest is about 40 cir., the second one is about 37 cir. I didn't fertize as much as I should have.

I have some big max pumpkins, and this is also my first year growing pumpkins ever! My first pumpkin (already cut off) was around 60 inches, maybe a little more. It turned out to be my smallest. I have one more that should become noticably larger than it. My third one though, is extremely huge. At least twice the size of my first pumpkin. The only thing that I did different was potash. I didn't learn about it untill the first one was mostly done, and I have used tons of it on this one. Other than that, the first one oranged much earlier than my biggest, which is still only a light orange. anyone else got one bigger than the 80 inches I guess mine to be?

Ill get some pictures as soon as I can. I bought a digital camera last month, but my computer is in the shop along with the disk (stuck in it) I need to get my pictures off the camera and into the computer. So this is big for a big max????? I tried to slide it back a little today to take some pressure off the vines. I could barely move it. I know I won't be able to put it into the back of the truck by myself on Oct. 6th. Its been awhile since ive taken a pic of it, ill go do that now. see ya

I have a laptop also, but the cd drive is broken so I could never load the program into it. Im not trying to bs you:) I live in eastern Iowa right on the mississippi. Davenport Iowa, part of the quad cities. My home computer is at Best Buy because it froze up. I hope that its back this weekend. Well see, last time i took my vcr there they lost it! Anyhow, this pumpkin is MUCH larger than my first, which I frequently measured untill my 5ft tape measure wouldn't reach around it. But I know it quight growing right after that. Well it get pics as soon as I can. I better go put some more Miracle grow on. Later

Hi! They called today and said it was back. The weather was cold for a while, scattered frost two nights. now its getting back to the mid 70's and full sun! Anyhow, ill try to get the computer back tommorow, then ill try to figure out how to get the pics here, got any advice? later

I looked at the picture. nice pumpkin where did you get the seeds from. my pumpkin doesnt look like that variety. my seeds comes from better homes.
