My plants went crazy! They are 6" tall with only 2 first leafes without true leafes! The are staring to look quite scary, becouse I am afraid that thei can break becouse of the heavy firs leafes. The strangest thing is that they have a lot of sun every day and the shouldn't grow so high... I don't have bigger pots than 6" tall so I can't plant them to bigger ones. Is there anything I can do and is it as bad as I think ?

That is a great idea putting your latitude after the location I've decided to do the same. You will have seen the new photo from Sweden by now and there is also an article in the "how to" section here entitled maximizing root growth.

lat./long is the way to go. ;)
Saves trouble when your country falls apart.
Since this is treated as a science by so many it only makes sense to use the coordinate system rather than say something like "This pumpkin was grown in Salem."

These very tall seedlings sound like they're in need of more light. What source of light & how many hours per day?

they either need to get planted out immediately, or else they need 24 hour, very bright flourescent light, until they CAN get planted out---you do NOT need to dispose of them! i planted the long seedlings of mine at a 45 degree angle in the soil and they grew along just fine, but in the meantime, MORE LIGHT FOR 24 HOURS. it's like air; you don't get enough, you start to struggle to reach it. same for the plants, and i do believe that they grow more at night with the energy they have stored up during the day....'pal2
