When they say plant opposite the first true leaf, does this mean the 3rd leaf that has grown( bigger leaf), you should plan on ur main vien to run in the opposite direction of the 3rd leaf? (which is the fourth leaf that is smaller then the 3rd leaf at the moment) If this is true my 3rd leaf is running in the direction the way i want my main vien to go and the fourth leaf is running back out of my garden area. Is there anything i can do to fix this with out digging it up and re planting it? Its been in the ground under the famous doc's cold frame for about a week now. I hope i explained this so you can understand what im talking about. Thanks, Sly

The first two "leaves" are called the cotelydens. They are part of the seed. The third "leaf" is what is known as the "first true leaf." The main vine will start in the opposite direction of the "first true leaf." You might eventually be able to train the main vine around the other way...but it might break off. Why stress the plant like this if you can avoid it? Dig up an area larger than the roots will cover and turn it around the way you want it to grow.

Hey folks.........I just put a picture of the first true leaf in my diary. You can see it very well at the third or fourth day point.
