Mate, That all we eat in Australia. How do you people eat those orange ones? Best when they are baked or deep fried into chips(fries I think you call them). Do they sell eating pumpkins in produce shops over there? Regards Downunder

Down Under...yes, sort of ! Mostly the pumpkins in the markets end up as decorations. Pumpkin pie filling is usually from cans and made from various similar squashes. Just curious....how do you make the pumkin "chips"?.......I think I's like to try that......G

Down under: Am I wrong in thinking your pumpkin growing season is just beginning? I like fall but dread the thought of winter approaching. Spring and thoughts of putting in the gardens are my favorite.

Yep just woke up down here. My first pumpkin seedlings just germinated, probably still a month too early but they got wet by mistake. Fosters and XXXX beer is the secret that will make me grow a world record this year. I have room in my patch if anyone wants to see a season in advance what their pumpkins will look like next year. Anyway,Long Island, to make pumpkin chips slice them just like you slice potatoes for french fries and deep fry them. Beautiful! Down under Where they play real football and grow real pumpkins.
