Does anyone else get up in the morning and go out and look at their plants the first thing they do? Do you think I have a problem?

after i eat my breakfast, i go out and look at my plants, pretty much the first thing i do everyday, actually, almost every morning i get up and pick all the male flowers off and kill the cucumber beetles in them. i don't think you have a problem. You and i are just excited to see how much that pumpkin and plant has grown since you saw it the day before. There is always something that can be done in the pumpkin patch.

I am at work by 7am... I have an hour commute that makes matters even worse...
In order to be to work on time, I had to get up at 4:30 to pollinate.
So I think you're as normal as normal gets with this hobby. <g>

I do the very same thing. All my friends are sick of hearing about my pumpkins . Who by the way now have names . This is my very first time at this so I thought it was just me . Nice to know I am not alone.

I'm an addict,I wake up and go to the patch every morning before work. I can't wait to get home to see them,I think about them before I go to sleep. The only other thing to get me out of bed this early is the first day of deer season. Amy

How can anything so simple be so satisfying. I do the same thing....early morning and in the evening....out in the patch. Maybe you guys should post a warning on the web site.

Thanks! I printed this list for my wife just to show her I not the only one with this obsession. But, she threatened me that if I named my pumpkins she would let me sleep with them. I havn't given up hope on her yet. Brian
