My biggest patch is about 20x50 feet; I plan to have 2 plants in the middle and main veins that growth in opposite directions. How much distance is enough from the two plants to minimize competition between the roots of the 2 plants? Paolo

I've had as little as three feet between stumps. Seems to me that four feet would be better.

I would say five could be even better. Last year I set them four feet and I would like to have one feet more.

Last year I had mine at 8.5'apart. With 4 plants I dont think it was enough at that. H-K-J
