i am just curious if and how many growers are here in west virginia?it seems to be a lonely state lol!if youre from the mountain state and grow these orange monsters or heck green monsters sound off!!!!!!!!!burrhead

My Mother in Law and recently deceased father in law grew a few AG's in the town of Princton. Nice fella he had troubles with the "Punkins" shifting on the vine (down hill) at about 200# and ending his season.

Hey burrhead............Maybe they, most of 'em, are still in the second half of West Virginia's crop rotation program which I understand was twenty years of corn and a hundred years of Jack Pine. Then we must be considerate too. They would need another ten years to consider any change.

You are likely scaring the heck out of them with 'dem thar big orange thingies.

hey doc leave it up to westvaco and there clear cutting and we wont have anymore jackpine or heck trees for that matter so maybe one day soon youll be able to fly over west virginia in the fall and see all kinds of orange blobs growing,at least on my chunk of mud here in the mountain state!!!!!!!mr d@me if ever you get a chance to travel to west virginia just give me a call 304-335-3118 and ill fix you up with some goodhome cooking a good cup of coffee and heck if its on a friday night during summer ill take ya to one of are local dirt track races and let ya see what my other hobby is ill have new pics of this years car in my diary soon wee one day i hope to put a giant pumpkin logo on it!maybe a pic of my first giant one grown!doc as always same offer goes to you also!!!!!! burrhead

GOOD START INDEED. i love wacting racing i was in my brother in-laws pit for a few years until he gave it up.i live about 40 miles each way of two tracks. Langley Raceway the king and a few other oletimers have a few wins here. the track has been around for ever i seen Adam Petty race the year before he died he was in the ASA at the time.Seen his granddaddy race there in the 60s.the other track (saluda) now called Virginia Raceway is owened by Mr.Sawyer he bought it after he sold Richmond. I m glad he kept it Dirt love the dirt.He has put a lot of money into the place.nothing like dirt racing on a saturday night. good luck to you on your racing this year!!!Rcae em hard burrhead..
