Subject: rye or rye grass??

i went to the feed store monday to buy some rye to turn under this spring and they guy ask me do you want rye or rye grass?? they both grow tall & we have both he says, well i dont have a clue so i looking for your help. thanks,Keith

If you are looking for a cover crop to turn under, that would be winter rye or cereal rye, not ryegrass. It's usually planted in fall and turned under in the spring before it goes to seed. Hope this helps.
