Somewhere earlier I posted or wrote that I would pay $50.00 to the first pumpkin grown on my seed officially weighed in any sanctioned weigh off over 800lbs. If more than a few of you think this might promote cheating for a lousey fifty I would, on your advise, withdraw this offer. My viewpoint was that anyone growing an 800 or larger would want the honor, to his or her own seed...that this would prevent the cheat. One person has raised this question. I think the deal was that I be given some seed too. Dozen or so to protect the line.

....Speak up please. I would not want to create a monster.

I guess I don't see any harm in it. I agree, I don't think anyone would risk their reputation for just $50. Others may have different opinions however.

i think in most cases we should always grow the fruit as if we were gonna win the weighoff-no matter 50 bucks or not!

Pal 2 ....Would $51.00 make the difference. Throw out that 845. After all look how many came in under sized...nearly as bad as the Babe's Strike Out Record. :) :)
