All of your updates lately are on Pepper, how is Shannon growing?...Karen

Karen,

I think Shannon is just about done growing, cut short by Borers and the rotted stump and possibly because I never covered any of the Vines. I just think what could have been with Shannon. So Ive been mainly concentrating on Pepper as she was growing at World record Speed at first even faster than Shannon. I found some growth charts yesterday showing that Pepper was indeed growing at World record Speed when I compared it to the "Checkons" 1190 and 1131 charts. Infact it is still ahead of the Checkon's Pumpkins thru today day 22 but is slowing down now. Ill be saving these "Silver Bullet" seeds for next year and I will do everything right this time for the 2002 growing season... including covering all vines!

Shannons Stats as of tonite are:

Circumference 162
S/S 100
B/S 98

OTT = 360
OTT Weight = 903 Pounds

She is pretty much done growing now and I hope I can keep her Healthy for the Weighoffs which aren't until October 6.
